A Statement of Environmental Effects can be prepared by Sydesign to form part of your Development Application package.
A Statement of Environmental Effects or an SEE is a written document required by all council's as part of the package for a development application.
The report is required to outline the likely impacts of the proposal, and the proposed measures that will mitigate these impacts. The SEE includes written information about the proposal that cannot be readily shown on plans and drawings.
The SEE also details and explains the likely impacts of a proposed development on its surrounding environment. In Town Planning terms, the environment is considered to cover both the natural and built environments. A Statement of Environmental Effects includes a detailed assessment of the proposed development having regard to all applicable State and Local Council Planning Policies and planning controls that apply to the land or the proposed development type.
To this end one of the most important tasks of the SEE is to outline the key controls of council's planning policies and to show compliance with these controls. If a control cannot be complied with then reasons as to why the application seeks leniency and why a complete compliance is not beneficial to all affected parties must be addressed.
